Money-Saving Bargains from January 27th, 2011...

OK…if you’ve been able to snag quite a few of the Joy of Football coupon booklets at Randall’s that I posted about HERE, you can get a GREAT deal on Skippy Peanut Butter starting 1/30 at CVS (if not…keep reading)!  Keep in mind that I do NOT advise going into Randall’s and wiping out their shelves of these coupon booklets just so you can do this deal.  However, maybe if you and a friend(s) have found 9 of the booklets combined, you could go in on this deal together and get an awesome deal :) !   I just want to give you a heads up NOW, so you can possibly head to Randall’s and try to snag a few of these booklets or talk to your friends and figure out your game plan (that is if you even need peanut butter?).

Also, you may want to order these Skippy coupons on Ebay!  I spotted that you can bid on them starting at only $.99 for around 15 coupons,so if you want some…order them now so you’ll be ready for next week!  If you do order them on Ebay, be sure to go through ShopatHome for 3% cash back on your Ebay purchases!

Anyways, here’s how to get a great deal STARTING 1/30…

  • Spend $15 on select Unilever products (Ragu, Skippy, Ben & Jerry’s, Lipton, and Hellmann’s) = $5 ECB (limit 1)
    • Deal Scenario – Buy 9 Skippy Peanut Butter jars, 3 for $5 = $15
    • Use (9) $1/1 Skippy coupons in the Joy of Football Randall’s coupon booklet
    • Pay $6, but get back $5 ECB
    • Final Cost = $1 for all 9 jars!

NOW, if you don’t have 9 coupon booklets (or friends with booklets), you can also do this deal…

  • Buy 6 Ragu Pasta Sauces, 3 for $5 and buy 3 Skippy Peanut Butters, 3 for $5 = $15 total
    • Use (2) $1.50/3 Ragu coupons
    • Use (3) $1/1 Skippy coupons from the Joy of Football booklet
    • Pay $9, but get back $5 ECB
    • Final Cost = $4 for all 9 items!

On a Side Note…

If you haven’t received your MyCokeRewards FREE 12-pack Coke coupons in the mail yet that I posted about HERE, you’ll be happy to know that the Spend $15 on Kraft/Coke products and get a $5 ECB sale is continuing on through next week, so there’s more time to wait to get your coupons in the mail!! :)

I ran into H-E-B today to pick up some produce for dinner and picked up a few freebies!  I love the fact that H-E-B and several other stores will accept Catalina coupons that print out from other stores (like Randall’s, Walgreens, Target, etc.) as long as they are manufacturer’s coupons and not store coupons!  I always hang onto them (and snag the ones that people leave behind!) because they often make for some great deals or freebies! :)   Here’s the breakdown of my trip…

  • 1 box of Kleenex with lotion, $1.47
    • Used (1) $2/1 any Kleenex Catalina coupon from previous shopping trip (scanned at $2 off)
    • Final Cost = FREE + $.53 money maker!
  • 2 boxes of Ronzoni Healthy Harvest pasta, $.98 each
    • Used (1) $1/2 Ronzoni Healthy Harvest coupon from the 1/23 SS insert
    • Final Cost = $.48 each!
  • 1 Challenge Butter Tuscan Style, $1.97
  • 2 Breathe Right Strips packages, $3.97
    • Used (2) FREE Breathe Right Strips Catalina coupons (deducted $3.97 each)
    • Final Cost = FREE!
  • Olay Regenerist Facial Wipes, $5.97
    • Used the $5/1 Olay Regenerist coupon from the P&G $100 Savings Home Mailer coupon booklet (expires 1/31)
    • Final Cost = $.97!
  • 1 Weight Watcher’s Cream Cheese, $.99
    • Used (1) $1/1 any Weight Watchers Cheese or Cream Cheese coupon from the All You Magazine January 2011 issue
    • Final Cost = FREE!
  • 1 Kraft Ranch dressing, on Clearance for $.50
    • Used (1) $1/1 Kraft Ranch coupon previously available HERE (scanned at $1 off)
    • Final Cost = FREE + $.50 money maker!
  • 3 Dannon Light and Fit Yogurts, $1.78 each
    • Used (3) $1/1 Dannon Light and Fit yellow in-store coupons
    • Final Cost = $.78 each!
  • 4 Heluva Good! Dips, $1.68 each
  • Roma Tomatoes, $.82/lb. = $.81
  • Lettuce Head, $.94
  • 2 cartons of Blackberries, $.88 each *This may be a store-only promotion, but be sure to check your store if you’re headed there…seemed like a great deal to me!
    • Final Cost = $1.76 for both!

Final Cost = $9.47 after tax for all items above!  Not too bad considering this was over $30 to start with!
