Paid $1.73 OOP and will get back $2.99 for Bufferin Rebate!
Here’s how my Walgreens shopping trip turned out! I decided to pass on buying the Mucinex Nasal Spray since we just didn’t need it and I would have had to pay more out of pocket for it than I wanted. And we also did NOT get the $3/1 Nivea Men’s body wash coupon in our paper NOR the Ricola coupon, so I couldn’t do those deals…bummer! Good thing I have about 35 bottles of body wash and 25 bags of cough drops at this moment. Anyway, here’s what I did end up snagging! I walked in with $8.50 in RR’s and walked out with $4.60 in RR’s and I’ll get back $2.99 for the Bufferin Rebate!
- 2 Capri Sun Juice Boxes, $2 each
- Used (1) $1/2 Capri Sun coupon from the September issue of Parenting the Early Years Magazine
- Then used (1) $1/2 Capri Sun Walgreens coupon from the October Coupon booklet
- 2 Kashi GoLean Crunch Cereals, 2 for $5 = $2 RR
- Used (2) $1/1 any Kashi Cereal coupons found at Target a few months ago
- Paid $3, but got back $2 RR
- 6 Coffee-Mate Creamers, Buy 1 at $2.69 Get 1 Free (Since these ALL rang up at odd and different prices, I decided to do the following scenario to avoid beepage and it worked fine…NO beeps!)
- 1 Bufferin Low Dose Aspirin, $5.99
- Used (1) $3/1 Bufferin coupon from the 10/17 SS insert
- Used (1) $3/1 Bufferin Walgreens coupon from the October Coupon booklet
- Final Cost = FREE + I’ll submit receipt for a $2.99 rebate found in the 10/17 SS insert!
- 1 Blistex Lip Ointment, $2.59 = $2.60 RR
- Paid $2.59, but got back $2.60 in RR’s
- Final Cost = FREE after RR!
- 1 Geisha Mushrooms, $.50 with in-ad coupon
- 1 Macaroni and Cheese box, $.69 with in-ad coupon
- 2 Hershey’s Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, $.49 with in-ad coupon (my last 2 RR’s beeped because my of the tax (?) so I quickly grabbed these 2 items at the register)
- Final Cost = $.98 for both!
Total Cost = Paid $1.73 OOP! I walked in with $8.50 in RR’s and walked out with $4.60 in RR’s, but I’ll also get back $2.99 for the Bufferin Rebate!
My OOP cost would have been less, but my last 2 RR’s beeped because of my tax (even though I had enough items per mfg. coupons), so I had to randomly grab a couple candy bars at the register. Overall, not too shabby…it will be like I paid a total of $2.64 total for everything after I take into consideration the rebate and the amount of RR’s that I did not “roll” over.
