Money-Saving Bargains from May, 2010...

The Children’s Place is having a great $5 Memorial Day sale!  There are some really cute items starting at $5 and you can use the code E4A5A to get an additional 15% off your order!  You can also place your order through Shopathome to get an additional 5% back on your order!

Also, you should be able to call your local store and ask for a free shipping code over the phone.  Last time I called, the manager told me they allow anyone to call anytime and ask for a free shipping code!  Nice!  If one store won’t give you a code over the phone, try calling and asking a different store in your area.

“And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free, and I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me and I’ll proudly stand next to him to defend her still today, ‘cuz there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God bless the USA.” -Lee Greenwood

*Update – As Deb pointed out, be sure the yellow store coupons are not Type M, which means you can NOT stack with a mfg. coupon!

If you are a regular H-E-B shopper, then you may be excited to read this regarding their coupon policy!!  I recently discovered that H-E-B has added their coupon policy to their website and it states the following –

“H-E-B will combine store sponsored yellow coupons with manufacturer coupons for the same product:

-One (1) manufacturer issued coupon and one (1) H-E-B issued Store-sponsored (Type S)
-One (1) manufacturer issued coupon and one (1) H-E-B issued Big Savings coupon (Type B)”

Yay!!  Print their coupon policy and bring it with you whenever you shop at H-E-B!!  In the past when I’ve shopped at H-E-B, I’ve been told that we could only use EITHER the yellow store coupon OR the mfg. coupon but not both.  But it clearly states above that we can use ONE store coupon (marked with an S) and one mfg. coupon together:)  Yay!

SO, here are a few of the deals and freebies that I see in HEB’s ad this week that you may want to ad to your grocery list if you’re headed there tomorrow (prices good through June 1st).  Let me know what else you find!

  • Fresh corn on the cobon sale for 4/$1!

There’s an AWESOME monthly Register Reward deal available at Walgreens valid on Neutrogena skin and sun care products!   The deal starts today and is good through the month of June.
The deal is – Buy 3 participating products and get back a $10 Register Reward!
It’s been reported that the Neutrogena transparent bar soap (3.5 oz) qualifies for the Register Reward and it’s only priced at $2.99 each!  OH AND WAIT, IT GETS BETTER!  If you have any of the May 2010 booklets from Randall’s/Safeway, there is a $1.50/1 Neutrogena Product mfg. coupon in there!

The coupon booklet found at Randall’s/Safeway looks like this, however, it will say May 2010 on it.  I already cut all the coupons out of mine so I couldn’t take a picture of it. Sorry!:(

The deal would look like this:

  • Buy 3 Neutrogena bars (3.5 oz.) at $2.99 each= $8.97
    • Use 3 $1.50/1 coupons from the Safeway/Randall’s May coupon booklet (expire 6/30)
      • Total = $4.47, but then back a $10 RR!!
      • FINAL COST = FREE + A $5.53 Moneymaker!!

How AWESOME is that!??

(Thanks, Hip2Save!)
