Well, I know some of you may not like the idea of this, but for those of you who still have children in diaper/training pants, you may be interested in trying this.  It just shows how great Huggies products are!

I have used Huggies Little Swimmers for years now and have always been happy with them, except for how expensive they are (they range from $3.50 when on sale - $9.99 when not on sale)!.  If you go through these as often as we have in the past, especially during the summer, then you may be interested in how to conserve them!?

Here’s a little tip…If you want to save money on Huggies Little Swimmers (not the diapers!!), you can actually WASH them (even with regular clothes in the washing machine!!), hang them up to dry, and re-use them!  They aren’t made with the same gel as the diapers, which makes washing them possible.  We have done this over the past year and it works great every time and you can re-use them several more times!  If you’re going to be at the pool or lake all week for vacation or all summer, then this will definitely save you money on these!

After spending several hours at the pool today (and since my son is so close to being potty trained and I don’t want to buy more), I have his Little Swimmer hanging up to dry for next time!:)

Still not sure about this?  You can go here to read another success story (she even put hers in the dryer with no problems)!

Total OOP spent = $5.90, but got back $20 in RR + $3 Cortaid Rebate Form + FREE Always pads coupon!
I decided to get up bright and early this morning to head to Walgreens so I could get in on the 2-day sales and weekly RR deals!  I visited a store that normally has things in stock and I was happy to see that they had almost everything in stock that I wanted, except the the Walgreens AthroughZ vitamins, so I thought that was pretty good!
I went in the store with $11 in Register Rewards and after 3 transactions I got everything above (except one case of water is missing in the picture because I already tore it open and added it to our garage fridge) for $5.90 out of pocket AND I left the store with $20 in Register Rewards, 1 coupon for a FREE package of Always pads, and can submit for the $3 Cortaid refund!  Essentially, it’s like I got everything FREE + made a $6.10 profit after rebate and Register Rewards.
This is my own method, but if you’re wondering where I got my numbers from,  I calculate my profit by taking:
The amount of RR/rebate I walked out of the store with ($23 RR)
- (minus)
The amount of Register Rewards I started with ($11 RR)
- (minus)
The amount I spent out of pocket ($5.90)
= -$6.10 PROFIT!

Transaction 1:

  • 2 Aquafresh Bubble Mint toothpaste $.99 with in-store ad - 1 $2/2 Aquafresh mfg. coupons from Safeway booklet (beeps, so cashier entered manually) = 2 for FREE
  • 2 Neutrogena bar soaps ($2.99 each) + 1 Neutrogena Astringent ($5.29) – 3 $1.50 mfg. coupons from the Safeway/Randall’s May booklet = $6.77, get back $10 RR
    • They only had 2 Neutrogena facial bar soaps in stock, but if you can get 3 of the soaps, your total will only be $4.47 if you have the Randall’s/Safeway coupons or $8.97 if you don’t have those coupons.  Either way it is free + a moneymaker after the $10 RR!
  • 1 Ecotrin aspirin $2 – $2 mfg. coupon from 5/16 RP or here = FREE, get back $2 RR
  • Luster 7 Sensitive toothpaste = $5, get back $5 RR
  • Kotex Ultra Thin pads $3.49 - $1 mfg. from 4/18 SS or here = $2.49, get back $2.50 RR (AND PRINTS OUT COUPON FOR FREE ALWAYS PADS!! WAHOO!)
      • TOTAL = $14.47 with tax - $11 RR I started with = $3.47, got back $19.50 RR (and coupon for free Always pads!)
      • My total was actually $2 higher because my cashier forgot to scan the Ecotrin coupon, so afterwards she refunded me the $2 and then had to re-ring it with the coupon for inventory and it spit out another $2 RR and she said I could have it (I couldn’t believe it!).
Transaction 2:
  • 2 Aquafresh Bubble Mint toothpaste $.99 with in-store ad – 1 $2/2 Aquafresh mfg. coupons from Safeway booklet (beeps, so cashier entered manually) = FREE

  • 1 Cortaid cream $3 – $1 mfg. from 4/25 SS = $2, get back $3 after mail-in-rebate
  • Filler item - Royal strawberry jello = $.20 with in-ad coupon

Transaction 3:
  • 1 Rejuvicare Hair/Nail supplement= $9.99, get back $10 RR
  • 2 Lifesaver peg bags $2.29 on sale Buy One Get One Free – 2 $.75 mfg. IP. previously available on Coupons.com = $.40 each

  • 2 Walgreens 24-count water bottles $2.49 each (Sun-Mon sale only) = $4.98
  • 3 Aquafresh Bubble Mint toothpaste $.99 with in-store ad – 1 $2/2 Aquafresh mfg. coupons from Safeway booklet (beeps, so cashier entered manually) – $1/1 mfg. IP here (no longer available) = 3 for FREE
      • Total = 18.92 after tax = $18 RR from Transaction 2 = $.92, got back $12 RR
      • My cashier actually rang up 2 Ecotrin and I realized it before leaving the store so I went back and she refunded me the $2 and then had to re-ring it for inventory AGAIN using the coupon and it spit out another $2 RR and she handed it to me AGAIN!)
Grand Total = $5.90 out of pocket, but got back $20 in RR + $3 Cortaid Rebate Form + FREE Always pads coupon!
